Mark Lloyd is a renowned english photographer since approximately ten years, living near Portsmouth, with an extensive experience working with luxury boat and yachting brands, media agencies, advertising campaigns, prestigious boat designers, high-end manufacturers and owners of some of the world's most celebrated yachts and boats.
Past clients include Volvo, Hugo Boss, Musto, Boat International, The Vendee Globe and AVIVA as well as superyacht and luxury boat brands.
Quite discreet, always optimistic, he always delivers state of the arts pictures when assigned to a photo shoot, and manage to get the most out of the natural light.
At the start of the famous transatlantic Route du Rhum, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2018, "The Rocket" was awaited by all spectators. During the 2018 Azimut Challenge, the latest of the IMOCA, the Vendée Globe class, Charal and his skipper Jeremie Beyou had impressed the professionals by literally flying over the water. It was the first time we saw this type of boat taking off so much.
This photo fixes one of the rare moments when Charal raised his hull and yes, it is impressive!
