I was born into a family that brought the first automobiles to market at the beginning of the last century. For as long as I can remember, I have always heard about motorsport at home and automobiles in the broad sense.

My passion for modes of transport on land also led me to develop a passion for boats during the many school holidays that I spent in Brittany. After my military service in the Navy I began learning how to make sails for large racing multihulls and the last 12MJIs in the America's Cup at the end of the 1980s.

Back in the Paris region, I will join the DPPI press agency created by my father in 1962 where I will learn the basics of photography and business during the first 3 years.

Through a combination of circumstances I will create, develop and manage what will become 10 years later the most important structure for marketing boat photos within a photographic press agency.

At the beginning of this century I will restore several old automobiles, including one of the most emblematic single-seaters in French motorsport that had launched Matra Sport in a quest for victories for 10 years.

After this interlude I returned to my job as a photographer to produce subjects on automobile heritage and motorboats.

You are with a famous collector in Italy, aboard one of the 3 Ferrari boats still "alive" out of the 4 built in history. The latter is not powered by any engine. This is the 4,9L V12 that was in the 375MM Berlinetta Pinin Farina that won the first World Championship of Endurance organized in 1953, early in the reign of Enzo Ferrari.

Alberto Ascari realised the fastest lap time in the 1953 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but while he was ahead9 hours before the end, with his team-mate Villoresi, the clutch broke. The car will be destroyed later by two other Italians drivers at the Carrera Panamericana 1953, but will still win the championship by a short head to the Jaguars ...

Four racers powered by a Ferrari engine were built in the years 50/60 upon private initiatives. Two others still exist: Arno XI (1953) and Antares (1954). The San Marco Ferrari is a "Three Points" in the category of 800kg. It has been ordered by a rich industrialist from northern Italy and extreme adventurer.
Guido Monzino had this racer built in 1957 by the shipyard San Marco to receive the Ferrari V12 that he had recovered from the crash of the Ferrari 375 MM Berlinetta Pinin Farina during the 1953 Carrera Panamericana.
The Ferrari racer San Marco will participate in the toughest powerboat race in Europe, the Pavia-Venizia raid on the Po River in Italy with its 4.9 liter V12 and 340 hp which propels it over than 200km/h.
