I started making photos when an old compact digital Olympus camera of my father arrived in my hands when I was 15 years old. One year later, I started to cover some national races at the Circuit de Catalunya, that will soon become my second home.
I spend days and days shooting at this track, in all the possible competitions, this hobbie started to be a reality when I began studying Photography and Digital Creation at UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Barcelona) in 2012.
Bit after bit I started working for some media and agencies, going to the F1 winter tests in Spain tracks, when in 2014 I covered my first GPs in Spain and Italy. This same year I also started doing other sports like football or basketball in FC Barcelona in a more professional way.
Now I’m in my last year of university and meanwhile, I’m working as a freelance photographer, especially in motorsport photography.
The Moto GP action in the pitlane during the race was always quiet, until DORNA add the possibility to change of bike in case of rain.
During the Grand Prix of Aragon, close to the end of the race it started to rain. I was at the track so I decided to go as fast as I could to the pitlane to try to catch the drivers swapping their bikes.
The pitlane was a chaos of mechanics, drivers, marshals, but I was able to get this spectacular moment of Marc Marquez jumping to the motorbike and his mechanics holding it.
I made this image with a Canon 1DX, and a Tamron 150-600mm f5.6 - f6.3 lens at 200mm focal distance, the shutter speed was 1/800 second at f8 and ISO 1250. During the Moto GP Grand Prix of Aragon on September of 2014, at Motorland Aragon, Spain.
