"Photographer training, I rode in rallies on earth until 1984 and I continued to go on the events with a camera.Very quickly the professional side of the photo of motorsport fascinated me. I began by following the French rallies and offering my images to the magazine Echappement in Sport-Auto, then the horizon widened to rallies abroad, and in 1987 I had the chance to be invited to Rally of Jordan to follow Prince Abdallah, who will then take the throne driving a rally car Discovering the magic of travel and meetings, I am passionate about the queen discipline, the World Rally Championship. have missed only 5 rallies. Elected Rally Photographer of the year 1992
In the World Rally Championship, the Safari Rally held in Kenya was different from the other events. A magnificent playground for photographers and a space of freedom conducive to improvisation. In this sector, south of Nairobi, cars did not go very far from Kilimanjaro. We tried in vain to frame the cars on the track with this giant. But from 9:30 he hid in the mist. The first cars had to arrive at 11:00 AM at the "Time Control". The light would be "sealed" by the sun at the zenith. We also saw giraffes near the track, it would have been nice to have them in the field ... In the end, at the place of control there was fesh-fesh: a sand so light that it is turns into dust. When the first cars arrived, I realized that there was a great opportunity to seize. I started shooting at 300mm then I got closer, I fixed a multiplier and Michael Ericsson arrived with a car repaired following a road exit the day before, braking at the last moment to win the last second, in dust.
