As every two years, a large number of skippers meet in Le Havre, this city redesigned by Auguste Perret at the end of WWII. On this day, 37 boats start the Transat Jacques Vabre 2017, in four different categories, towards a warmer place called Salvador de Bahia, in Brazil.
Nothing like this magnificent chiaroscuro to symbolize this passage from a port city to a cultural one, this link between a Norman industrial winter and a colorful summer of the southern hemisphere.
Sun, water, waves, wind ... Good start!
