Nioulargue. This name evokes Saint-Tropez, its glitter and the warm lights of the evening to have a drink on the quays. It is also and above all a rock off the bay of Saint-Tropez and a meeting of beautiful sails. This is where we admire the century-old boats with varnished woods and gleaming brass. Avel is no exception to the rule. This 1896 Fife plan was discovered in the Thames mudflat. Like many of these very slender wooden boats, it was abandoned in 1927, then renovated in 1994. No electronic winch no hydraulics, everything was reviewed identically to maneuver the 218m2 of sail upwind.
