I started making photos when an old compact digital Olympus camera of my father arrived in my hands when I was 15 years old. One year later, I started to cover some national races at the Circuit de Catalunya, that will soon become my second home.
I spend days and days shooting at this track, in all the possible competitions, this hobbie started to be a reality when I began studying Photography and Digital Creation at UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Barcelona) in 2012.
Bit after bit I started working for some media and agencies, going to the F1 winter tests in Spain tracks, when in 2014 I covered my first GPs in Spain and Italy. This same year I also started doing other sports like football or basketball in FC Barcelona in a more professional way.
Now I’m in my last year of university and meanwhile, I’m working as a freelance photographer, especially in motorsport photography.
For the first time in more than two decades, Ferrari has opted for a red and white livery, it is quite like the 1970s retro styling with the helmet of Sebastian Vettel matching the colours. Here I wanted to add more dynamism at the image, so I shot at low speed, following the car, to get this dynamic and blurred effect.
I made this image with a Canon 6D, and a Canon 500mm f4.5 lens, the shutter speed was 1/13 second at f32 and ISO 100. During the Formula One winter tests on May of 2016, at the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya, Spain.
