I started making photos when an old compact digital Olympus camera of my father arrived in my hands when I was 15 years old. One year later, I started to cover some national races at the Circuit de Catalunya, that will soon become my second home.
I spend days and days shooting at this track, in all the possible competitions, this hobbie started to be a reality when I began studying Photography and Digital Creation at UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Barcelona) in 2012.

Bit after bit I started working for some media and agencies, going to the F1 winter tests in Spain tracks, when in 2014 I covered my first GPs in Spain and Italy. This same year I also started doing other sports like football or basketball in FC Barcelona in a more professional way.

Now I’m in my last year of university and meanwhile, I’m working as a freelance photographer, especially in motorsport photography.

The winter tests are the first moments when the driver has the opportunity to test the car at the track.
Some laps in the morning to test the electronics and mechanical elements and then it’s time to squeeze the engine and search the limits of the new car. Especially the last hours of winter tests, when the sun goes down the drivers want to be on the top of classification, so they drive as fast as they can.
This image show a mix of all these elements, a beautiful backlight and the smoke of the tyres blocked along the car.
I made this image with a Canon 7D, and a Canon 100-400mm f5.6 lens at 400mm focal distance, the shutter speed was 1/1000 second at f9 and ISO 100. During the Formula One winter tests on January of 2014, at the Circuito de Jerez, Spain.
