Tribute to Carlo Riva and his dream boats - Sails & Rods

Carlo Riva, creator of the famous runabouts (motorboats) RIVA, "boat of the stars and star of the boats", died on April 10th 1997 at the age of 95 years old. He had made his mark an emblem of luxury in the same way as Ferrari or Bugatti. 6 models came out of the Italian shipyards : Florida, Junior, Olympic, Ariston, Tritone, not to mention the Aquarama, of which Brigitte Bardot was the ambassador.
The sea, the engines and the design united in one (magnificent) object, but can we talk about object about these canots which are said to have a soul, Sails & Rods had to offer you some nice photos , here, in tribute to this great gentleman. There are magnificent, highly documented books about this adventure, including those co-written by Henri Thibault (photographer) and Gerald Guetat (journalist).
